We recommend parts substitutes when required to face market shortages or to benefit from price reductions.

 

Are required from the customer

• Bill of material (BOM) and approved vendor list (AVL) showing exact approved manufacturer part numbers (not those from distributors such as Digikey), or approved sources of custom manufactured parts if required, unless complete generic part specification is provided eg : 0.1uF 10% MLCC X7R 16V 0603.

 

• Distinct BOM and item master (IM) is recommended (with the IM common to all of your products BOMs) 

 

• The preferred file formats are .xls, xlslx, .csv

 

• Required procurement strategy : best unit price, best project cost (managing economic order quantities and leftover parts), or quickest availability
